Dr. Abdulaziz Abu-Khashabah is the Co-Founder and senior partner of Sadeed Partners, and is one of the Kuwaitis’ most prominent lawyers.
Abdulaziz advises clients across the oil and gas sector on a wide range of issues, including upstream oil and gas major projects. He previously worked in the industry with Kuwait Oil Company. Abdulaziz had recently provided a significant professional contribution, commitment and support to the KOC Arbitration Committee in the recent KOC arbitration case. He was a member of very important task force teams who were responsible of negotiation, drafting agreements with IOCs such as Enhanced Technical Service Agreement (ETSA), Operating Services Agreement (OSA) as well as the Expiration of Concession Agreement with Arabian Oil Company in the Divided Zone offshore.
Abdulziz also was a key person who has participated in teams who were responsible of incorporating new KPC subsidiaries such as Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC). Abdulaziz honorably advises in recent international agreements between the State of Kuwait and Kingodm of Saudi Arabia regarding the divided zone.
Abdulaziz possesses extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, construction, real-estate, insurance, intellectual property, dispute resolutions, conflicts of law, corporate, EPC, BOT agreements.
Abdulaziz also a specialist construction lawyer with over 25 years experience. He advises on contracts and procurement as well as involving in helping clients during the course of a project when problems arise or claims need to be brought. He has acted for clients in a number of very complicated and high value of claims and disputes in excess of US$1 billion.
He advises clients on most aspects of corporate commercial law and provides practical advice on business structures. He has dealt with all manner of business establishments and he quick to recognise particular concerns of clients and provide practical solutions in a timely manner. His exceptional understanding of the principals of Civil Code enables him to provide clients with legal opinions on the proper interpretation and application of the law provisions. He also teaches on Kuwait University- School of Law.
Abdulaziz is listed to plead before the Court of Cassation and the Constitutional Court of Kuwait.
